2. Responsibilities


Leadership Commitment: Our leadership team is responsible for providing the necessary resources and support to maintain health and safety standards.


Staff and Volunteers: All staff and volunteers are responsible for following health and safety procedures, reporting hazards, and taking reasonable care to ensure their safety and the safety of others.


Service Users: We encourage service users to adhere to safety guidelines and report any safety concerns promptly.


3. Risk Assessment and Control


We will regularly conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with our activities and events.


Measures will be implemented to control and mitigate identified risks, and these will be communicated to staff, volunteers, and service users.


4. Safe Facilities and Equipment


We will maintain our facilities and equipment in a safe and operational condition.


Regular inspections and maintenance checks will be conducted to ensure safety standards are met.


5. Emergency Procedures


Emergency procedures, including evacuation plans, will be in place and communicated to all staff, volunteers, and service users.


Fire drills and other emergency preparedness activities will be conducted regularly.


6. Reporting and Record Keeping


All accidents, incidents, and near misses will be reported and recorded.


Records will be maintained to track safety incidents and improvements.


7. Training and Awareness


Staff and volunteers will receive appropriate training in health and safety procedures.


Service users will receive information about safety measures and how to report concerns.


8. Health and Well-being


We will encourage a culture of well-being, providing support for physical and mental health.


First-aid facilities and trained personnel will be available at our events and activities.


9. Review and Monitoring


This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
