It's Time to Travel Around the World!

We can't believe it! The day we’ve all been working so hard for is almost here – the Around the World Festival 2025! As we write this post, there are only 3 tickets left at the Cryer Arts Theatre box office in Carshalton. We can't tell you what an honour and motivation this is for the team and all the incredible performers lining up to entertain Suttonians for 2 hours this Sunday.

What to Expect on the Day
Expect to travel the globe from the comfort of your seat at Cryer Arts Theatre! We are touching base on pretty much every continent except Antarctica (our penguins were a bit tied up this year and therefore unable to perform their traditional waddle dance). The gate (theatre doors) open at 1.45pm and the show starts at 2pm sharp right here at home - The United Kingdom. Talented musicians, singers and dancers will then take us to the sun-kissed Spain, Ukraine, Egypt, The Caribbean, China, India and a lot more. You didn't think we'd give away all our secrets, did you?
It's a long haul journey, so we'll make a short stop after the first hour to refuel our plane and then take off to more enchanting destinations. Just make sure you don’t miss the connecting flight, or the whole adventure will be lost!
Food & Drinks
While we would love to provide a full multicultural dining experience, we’re unable to offer world foods and drinks this year. However, during the interval, you’re welcome to grab some nibbles or drinks from the bar at Cryer Arts Theatre. Please note that food is not permitted in the auditorium.
Who is coming
We’re excited to host nearly 90 performers this year, ranging from 5 to 80+ years old! Some of them have travelled relatively far from other London or Surrey boroughs to proudly represent their cultures.
We are also delighted to be welcoming the new Deputy Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Cumar Sahathevan, along with some of his family members. We look forward to hearing his short speech at the opening of the event.
